The French Massane beech forest
The French Massane beech forest, a UNESCO world heritage site by France 24
The Oregon high desert is a region of the US of Oregon located east of the Cascade Range and south of the Blue Mountains, in the central and eastern parts of the state. Divided into a southern region and a northern region, the desert covers most of five Oregon counties and averages 4,000 feet (1,200 m) above sea level. Guided by National Geographic Adventure Photographer and rock climber Irene Yee, chef Melissa King pushes her physical limits, explores a thriving ecosystem in the middle of the high desert, and creates a meal inspired by the experience. Let yourself be transported with them in one of the most impressive deserts of the world.
